About Me

My name is Shayla Patron and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #128831.  I deeply value helping individuals work through challenges and find meaning in life in a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel deeply understood, heard, and seen without the walls of shame.  I value genuineness, empathy, and a commitment to a deep understanding of your unique experience.

I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention.  I have had to opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of areas, including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-worth. I have worked in various mental health and eating disorder treatment settings at all levels of care including Residential (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient programming (IOP).  I am most passionate about treating those struggling in their battle with an eating disorder. I believe that recovery is possible and authenticity is essential in building a strong therapeutic relationship.
